Used To Be
Over the years I’ve been an artist, I’ve been visually curious and intrigued by the concept of portraying not only a moment in time but the story that the people or the items they have treasured are telling. In my visual art, I lead the viewer along such a story by interweaving visual elements. When I saw this antique wheelchair, I wondered about the people that had needed such help throughout the years. Inside the Ximenez-Fatio House in St. Augustine, there are many letters written during the time that this chair was in use—was one of the letters written by an occupant of this chair?
